Mindly is a small non-profit organization based in Ontario, Canada.


Dedicated to making mental healthcare more accessible, Mindly provides mental health resources based on each user's specific demographics + needs.


 
Mindly was initially a web-based platform, with a website that did not attract much traffic, and had low session durations. My  aim as a
UX/UI designer was to conduct accurate UX research, collect my findings and produce a user-centric design that would not only be
aesthetically pleasing for users, but also keep them engaged. This would ultimately increase the average  session duration spent on
the platform.

After holding a brainstorming session, I came up with the following pain-points at each stage of the platform:

Based on this brainstorming session, I came up with users' "Hopes", "Fears", and my "Ideas" to address each of them for Mindly. This affinity
map painted a clearer picture in terms of where to start.

I narrowed these points down into a set of strategic goals for the new design:
